Mischa Barton
Barton is a British-American actress working in film as well as television and theatre. In the Lincoln Center in New York City Barton made her theatrical debut in Tony Kushner's Slavs! Also, she played the primary part in James Lapine's Twelve Dreams. Her acting debut was her appearance as a cameo on All My Children. In the Nickelodeon animated series KaBlam!, she also was the voice of one of the characters. The show aired between 1996 and 1997. The first time she was recognized for her acting came in Lawn Dogs, a drama that starred Sam Rockwell. In 1999, she was a part for the first time in M. Night Shyamalan's psycho-drama The Sixth Sense and the romantic comedy film Notting Hill. Also, she was a part of the 1999 independent crime drama Pups. Barton was Evan Rachel Wood's lover in the ABC series Once and Again in 2001 and also in the independent thriller Lost and Delirious in 2001. She portrayed Marissa Cooper in the 2003-2006 season of the Fox TV show The O.C., for where she took home two Teen Choice Awards. Barton has been named the "It Girl of 2003" by Entertainment Weekly because she played the role. Barton has since appeared in the comedic St Trinian's and the dramatic Closing the Ring directed by Richard Attenborough and the drama Closing the Ring. She has also appeared in the dramatic Closing the Ring which was directed Richard Attenborough.
